Siddharth: Comeback in Kollywood?

Siddharth, who made his debut in Boys, found name and fame in Telugu films. Prior to acting, he assisted director Mani Ratnam. In Boys he got noticed and went on to act in Ayutha Ezhuthu, followed by a string of films in Telugu. He tasted success in Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana and Bommarillu.

Siddharth won critical acclaim for Rang De Basanti in Hindi, and after that he has been very careful in the roles he accepts. He has invested a lot of his time in improving himself technically. Not only an actor, he has also tried his hand at screenplay writing, playback singing and also given inputs to several people who sought his help.

It is quite puzzling why this young and charming actor has refused to do any more Tamil films, and hardly visits Chennai. Many directors like Gautham Menon are coming out with Tamil films that increasingly revolve around urban youth and Siddharth would definitely fit into any of these roles!

Another Siddarth film that became quite successful is Konchem Ishtamga Konchem Kashtamga directed by debutant Dolly Kishore in which he starred opposite Tamannaah. Some say Siddharth has plans to direct his own film, possibly a bilingual (Tamil and Telugu). Is this true? Wait and see!
