Congress strategy was weak: Siddaramaiah

May 19 : Former Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and Congress leader Siddaramaiah today accepted that the BJP's campaign to win more seats in the Lok Sabha polls in the state was systematic and effective.

He told reporters here that the ruling BJP was far ahead in its poll strategy and had won 19 out of the total 28 seats.

Mr Siddaramaiah agreed that the Congress had failed badly in its campaign to highlight the ''failures'' of the BJP government in Karnataka, led by Mr B S Yeddyurappa.

''The communal forces misled the people of the state during the election campaign, while we could not counter it,'' he alleged.

To a question on he being considered as Leader of the Opposition, he said it was left to the party high command.
